What is Christ’s seed for healing?
Question: “Do I have God’s healing seed and can one receive healing if they have not cultivated God’s seed?”
God’s promises are His revelation of what He wants to do for us. But until we know God’s will, we have nothing to base our faith on.
The only truth we have of God’s will is God’s Word. From it we learn just how anxious God is to heal us if we will but have the faith to believe and receive. The truth is very obvious if we will take the time to learn.
By renewing our minds by the Word of God we come into harmony with the mind of God. And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).
Until a person is sure that it is God’s will to heal them, they are trying to reap a harvest without having first planted the seed. The seed is the word of God (Luke 8:11). God does nothing beyond His Word and freedom to receive healing is in His Word. He sent his word, and healed them (Psalm 107:20).
They must first plant the seed in their heart by meditating on it until it becomes a part of them. When it becomes a part of them, they will have the assurance and confidence to believe and receive. God wants you blessed with healing and will as soon as we permit Him.
Often people way “if it is His will”, but this is not faith, it is doubt. It is criticizing God to question His intent when He has clearly said that it is His will to heal. The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up (James 5:15).
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus purchased both our salvation and our healing on the cross. Within the same payment, Jesus paid for our soul and he paid for our body.
God will always fulfill His promises when we learn to cooperate within God’s conditions. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation (Psalm 91:16).
Instructions on how to receive
The following provides very comprehensive instructions for receiving healing:
My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-
God’s Words are only life to those who find them. When you find them, keep them in your sight rather than focus on your symptoms. Meditate on God’s Word until they become firm within your heart. Look at His Word and nothing else. Many have failed to receive healing because they have failed to find and be attentive to His Words. On the other had, thousands have been healed who have found and acted upon the Word of God.
A farmer has faith that a seed is growing before he can see it. Likewise, if the farmer can have faith in nature, shouldn’t a Christian have faith in God’s Word and let it grow? Have faith that God’s Word is working in you before you see it is faith that is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
Looking at our problems builds doubt and destroys faith, pointing us to death. But concentrating on the Word builds a strong faith and banishes doubt. However, we can not do both. We either plant God’s Word or doubt.
But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back (Hebrews 10:38).
There is so much more evidence for faith than there is for doubt. Rather than doubt your faith, why not doubt your doubts.
Part of faith is seeking God’s way to health. He may heal immediately, or over time, He may touch you or provide a seed that leads to health via a better diet, exercise, a doctor, a specific medicine, or he may tell you to do something unusual like He told Jesus, but you will always receive when you seek God’s way and then obey.
The Words of God are backed by God and Heaven. They will dispel doubt and lead us to life as we learn to keep our eyes on Him.
